Foundations of Coaching Softball

• https://softball.ca/onlinelearning/foundations
• This course takes approximately 2 hours to complete online
• You only need to complete the course one time. 
• You'll need to create an NCCP# to start the course
• Southfour will reimburse this cost for coaches. Submit receipts to southfourtreasurer@gmail.com 
• MUST BE COMPLETED BY APRIL 1, 2025

Safe Sport Course

• https://calgaryminorsoftball.com/content/safe-sport
• This course takes 1-1.5 hours to complete online
• Free of charge to all participants
• MUST BE COMPLETED BY APRIL 1, 2025

Respect in Sport (RIS) For Activity Leaders

• RIS Leadership Certification 
• This course takes approximately 3 hours to complete online
• The RIS course must be completed every 3 years.
• Southfour will reimburse this cost for coaches. Submit receipts to southfourtreasurer@gmail.com 
• If you have your RIS # from another sport (hockey/ringette) please contact Southfour with the RIS Certificate #
• MUST BE COMPLETED BY APRIL 1, 2025

Making Ethical Decisions  

• We suggest that coaches take the MED (Making Ethical Decisions) course. 

Police Check 

• Complete the Calgary Minor Softball Police Check procedure.
• CLICK THIS LINK to see coaches whose Police Checks expire this season.
• Any coach living in Calgary needs to email policechecks@calgaryminorsoftball.com to get a voucher from Calgary Minor Softball Association to complete their check online.
• Police checks must be completed every 3 years
• MUST BE COMPLETED BY APRIL 1, 2025
