Southfour Winter Softball Clinics (Nov-Mar)

 Open to all athletes across Calgary and surrounding areas — not just Southfour!

Make spring easier by training all winter. Our 5-month clinics deliver consistent reps, smarter play, and confidence — with NCAA-experienced coaches leading every session.

Season dates: Clinics run Nov 3 - Mar 29

No clinics: Feb 12, Feb 16, Mar 5, Mar 23, Mar 24, Mar 26

Locations:

• Nellie McClung School Gym — 2315 Palliser Dr SW, Calgary

• WinSport Performance Training Center Gym  — 151 Canada Olympic Rd SW, Calgary

Mondays — U13-U17 Offense & Defense (Nellie McClung School)

• 6:15-8:15 PM — U13-U17 

• There will be no clinics Feb 16th or March 23rd

Tuesdays — U9-U11 Offense & Defense (Nellie McClung School)

• 6:15-8:15 PM — U9-U11

• There will be no clinics March 24th

Thursdays — All Ages Pitchers & Catchers (Nellie McClung School)

• Junior Girls (Ages 7-10) - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

• Senior Girls (Ages 11-17) - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

• Note: There will be no clinics Feb 12th, March 5th, March 26th

Sundays - All Ages Pitching & Catching 

• February 1 through March 29: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (WinSport Performance Training Center Gym)

   

Sundays - All Ages Offense & Defense

• February 15: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (WinSport Performance Training Center Gym)

• February 22: No Clinics due to Southfour Evaluations

• March 1st through March 29: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (WinSport Performance Training Center Gym)

Meet Your Coaches

Kaitlyn & Jo bring elite college-level experience and decades of combined pitching and skills expertise. Both competed in NCAA conferences in the U.S., with years of specialized instruction, program development, and athlete mentorship across Alberta. They coach both Pitching/Catching and Offense/Defense this winter — focusing on mechanics, mindset, and repeatable results.

 What We Work On

Offense & Defense (All Positions)

• Hitting rhythm & timing, barrel control, contact quality

• Infield/outfield footwork, angles, transfers, throws

• Game awareness, cutoffs, relays, communication

Pitching & Catching

Pitchers: Mechanics for accuracy/velocity, leg & arm strength, stamina, injury-reduction habits, pitch usage & sequencing. Advanced athletes may add pitches.
Catchers: Receiving & framing, blocking confidence, pop-time and transfer speed, throwing accuracy, game-calling leadership.

Please note that if clinics are full when you go to register your child, she will automatically be placed on our waitlist. 

For those families that signed up their child on our wait list prior to October 20th, we will honor our $20/session early bird pricing for any single drop-in sessions your child takes part in.
