Try Softball for Free (Ages 4-10)

KIDS COME TRY SOFTBALL WITH SOUTHFOUR SOFTBALL IN 2026 & 2027!

Do you know any 4- to 10-year-old female athletes curious about playing softball next spring and eager to give it a try before committing to next season?

Southfour Fastpitch is hosting FREE "Come Try Softball" events for young players (ages 4 to 10) who have never played before!

We host exciting indoor events throughout the winter along with fun outdoor events on the diamond in the spring, summer and fall. 

Upcoming Free "Try Softball" Session Details:

Location: Nellie McClung School -2315 Palliser Dr SW, Calgary.

Indoor clinics are held in the school gym. Outdoor clinics are held on the ball diamond adjacent to the school parking lot.

Event Highlights:

• Introduction to foundational softball skills (catching, batting, throwing) in a supportive, fun environment.

• Continuous movement and engagement to keep kids active and having a blast.

• A lot of fun while learning, being active, getting sunshine and fresh air while making new friends!

Kids will rotate through skill-building and motor skill challenges led by Southfour coach volunteers, finishing with a big softball cheer!

What to Bring:

• Running shoes (please bring clean indoor shoes if registering for our indoor sessions)
• Comfortable clothing (shorts, leggings, sweatpants, t-shirt, hoodie etc. (for outdoor events be prepared for both heat and cold depending on the season)
• Softball glove (if you have one)
• Water bottle
• Cap or visor (outdoor events)
• Sunscreen & bug spray are recommended (outdoor events)

We’ll have loaner gloves available for those who need one, and Southfour will provide bats and helmets at the stations for those without.

These are FREE events, but space is limited! Please register to reserve a spot, and remember to cancel if you’re unable to attend. Don’t miss out—come see if softball is the perfect sport for your child!
